About Me

Andrew Cook Bio

I grew up in Flower Mound Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During that time I ran on the cross country and track and field team. My biggest accomplishments were achieving All American Honors in cross country and qualifying for the NCAA National Championships in the 10km race.

After college I continued to run and won the Cowtown Marathon (2018) and was a three time winner of the San Francisco Marathon (2006, 2007, 2009). In 2006 I qualified for the Olympic Marathon Trials by running the Austin Marathon in 2:19:47.

I’m currently in my 16th year as the Flower Mound High School head cross country and track and field coach

Over the years I have been fortunate to have success coaching and feel this blog would be a great way to help fellow coaches and runners.
